The Pack or the Panther
Alpha wolf Cole Harker has agreed to marry Analiese, the daughter of another pack’s alpha. It would confirm and solidify a much needed pack alliance. Everything would be fine except except Cole is gay and very attracted to Analiese’s gorgeous half-brother, panther shifter Paris Marketo. When Analiese elopes with a human, Cole hopes for a chance with Paris. That chance doesn’t seem likely as Paris has no interest in being part of the pack. When an unscrupulous enemy threatens to take Paris and pack land too, Cole is forced to fight hard for what he wants. What Cole wants more than anything is the heart of his panther and that’s one fight he plans to win.
Smooth, nicely-paced storytelling and two very sexy shifters made the story a totally engaging read. The chemistry between Cole and Paris is smoking hot. I loved how the relationship developed with the cat versus dog theme — wonderfully executed. They played off each other really well with the cutesy nicknames and highly sensual intimate moments. This story offers romance, intrigue and a endearing ending I didn’t see coming. I loved it! I also found the pack dynamic very interesting, a suspenseful backdrop to the romance. Although a bit predictable it was still a fun read with likeable characters, Paris being my favorite. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next installment in the series.
