The search for a missing DEA agent has Luke Dubois and his team coming up empty. However, when a tip off to his boss tells him that one of the strippers working inside the strip club where the agent was last seen is the one to talk to, Luke sets out to find out what she knows if only he can get close to her. Somehow stalking her seems like the only option, especially when she won’t stay in one place long enough for him to talk to her.
After her mum got sick with cancer, Olivia Taylor decides her best option to pay the medical bills was to work as a stripper to earn more money. Now though, worried by her boss’s unhealthy obsession for her, Olivia turns to Luke when he offers to help her in exchange for information on a DEA agent that has gone missing.
Ever since the first book of this series, Midnight Rescue, I was anxiously awaiting reading this one. The plot of this book is very intriguing and I enjoyed the opening chapter with the boys waiting for information on the missing agent and frustrated by whom was getting to go into the strip club undercover and whom had to wait behind. The dialogue was great and I loved the camaraderie between Luke and his team. But then again, they need that to be able to work in the field that they do. The strong attraction between Luke and Olivia ignited the hot sex scenes throughout and illustrated the instant chemistry these two had. What I liked so much about Olivia was her resolve to stay at a job that she hated just so she could help her mother. While with Luke, I liked how protective he was of Olivia and that he would do anything to keep her safe, even if it meant breaking the rules.
Overall, Midnight Alias was a great addition to this series of novels for Ms. Kennedy and now I can’t wait to read the third book which is certain to bring just as much action and suspense as the first two books have.
