Werewolf in Alaska
Vicki Lewis Thompson
Even across a lake, Rachel Miller and Jake Hunter can feel the connection and attraction. How can Rachel resist spying on incredibly attractive Jake when he goes skinny dipping at night? And Jake couldn’t resist buying Rachel’s first woodcarving, especially when the wolf in it looks a lot like him. Despite the pull he feels towards Rachel, Jake believes that werewolves like himself need to mate with other werewolves which is why he founded WARM or Werewolves Against Random Mating.
They may have been able to hold the attraction at bay, but fate has other plans. When Rachel’s life is in danger, Jake realizes the only way he can save her is as his wolf. Suddenly their actions force them together and they can no longer deny what they feel for each other. But when Jake is forced to reevaluate his firmly held beliefs, will his head or the heart win?
I absolutely love this series. So far there hasn’t been a single Wild About You novel that I haven’t read through in one sitting, well there were a few breaks and my family did want to be fed, but I didn’t want to stop till the book was done. This latest book is just as good. It’s great fun reading Rachel and Jake’s developing relationship. In fact there are some hilarious parts to read, so make sure you’re reading this where you won’t care if you’re heard laughing out loud. It’s the best mix of humor and passion. I also loved the quirky side characters that help make her books so much fun to read. This book is part of a series but can easily be read even if you haven’t read any of the others, but be warned there’s just something about Ms Thompson’s werewolves that are addictive.
