Run by guilt, Maxwell tries to fix the mistake she made in order to save lives and Adam must stand by her side to protect her. The passion that courses through their veins in the past makes its way to the surface and ignites once again between them. Will they be able to contain their feelings while coming up with a cure?
This exciting story has all the elements of the paranormal genre. Roaming undead, a virus on the verge of an outbreak, and people scrambling to save lives that puts you in the middle of the chaos. Olivia Starke creates a well written romantic tale that peeks your interest with every page. It seems hard to sustain the passion between the main characters as they run for their lives, but the sexuality emitting from them make you forget they are in the middle of turmoil.
In the age of science and with visions of the undead, the plot is believable because anywhere in the world, we can only imagine what genetic experiments is taking place. The dialogue propels the story forward by involving us in the mess of their lives but also letting us experience the desperation Maxwell and Adam are involved in. You want them to win. You want them to find a cure and find love again in each other’s arms.
