Sindra van Yssel
Natalie always knew she’s do a lot for science, but she never quite imagined herself heading off to Submission Island. She’s going to have to pretend to be a submissive for the week, although with her secret fantasies that may not exactly be a hardship, while somehow trying to sneak away to find the rare orchid she’s there to study that only blooms at night. Carter isn’t sure what Natalie’s secret is, but he knows she has one and he’s determined to find out what it is. If it means a lot of one on one time teaching her how to submit and trust, even better, especially when he realizes that he wants Natalie to be his.
This was a fun book. I really enjoyed that Natalie wasn’t full of angst over her secret, and instead started having fun and enjoying Carter’s attempts to get her to confess her secret. The chemistry between them is also hot and yet even with the dominance and submission the story manages to feel sweet. I really enjoyed the story and the details of the orchid were a fun addition, but if you’re looking for a more intense BDSM book this isn’t it. There are some little scenes with other characters that have a bit more edge but not really between Natalie and Carter. To me this was a good light peak into dominance and submission with a really solid story.
